
Dominion Energy grants $800,000 to South Carolina nonprofits
LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $800,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations across South Carolina, according to a Wednesday release.
“Our local non-profits are always helping our neighbors and making our beautiful Palmetto State an even better place to proudly call home, so it’s always a great pleasure to support them in any way we can,” said Keller Kissam, president of Dominion Energy South Carolina in a prepared statement.
Dominion Energy states that the grant will go towards funding human needs, environmental stewardship, education and community vitality.

Recipients of this grant include Family of Promise, a group that provides eviction prevention and shelter diversion for families, Homeless No More, a group that offers shelter and supportive services for at-risk and homeless families and Lowcountry Land Trust Inc. which has provided a public greenspace in Charleston.
This grant is a part of a larger project, that spans six states and has donated more than $2.4 million.
Applications for the next round of grants will be accepted from Jan. 13 to Feb. 24, 2025.
