Highlights of Octa’s 2024 Charity Efforts

School Renovation in Indonesia

To honor Ramadan, Octa funded a major school renovation in Depok City, West Java, ensuring the safety and comfort of students at SD NEGERI DEPOK. This renovation included strengthening the building’s structures and a complete overhaul to support the growing student population. The improved facilities promise a better educational environment for years to come.

Coding Bootcamp in Malaysia

In Kuala Lumpur, Octa partnered with Ideas International, an inclusive secondary school, to sponsor a coding bootcamp. The program, conducted from June to November, provided hands-on learning opportunities across three stages. Designed to enhance career prospects for students from diverse backgrounds, the initiative equips them with essential skills for the digital economy.

Clean Water Access in Nigeria

In Kanke, Nigeria, Octa addressed a critical water shortage by drilling a borehole, significantly improving the community’s access to clean water. This project enhanced hygiene and health standards, benefiting the entire town. Additionally, Octa contributed to food distribution programs, delivering essential supplies to local families in need.

Educational Support in South Africa

In partnership with IkamvaYouth, a Johannesburg-based non-profit, Octa supported an initiative to provide academic tutoring and skills development to underprivileged youths. The project offered 250 hours of annual tutoring per participant, empowering them with the tools needed to succeed in the modern job market. By fostering education and skill-building, the program opens pathways to brighter futures for young people from underserved communities.

Octa’s projects in 2024 reflect its dedication to addressing immediate needs while fostering long-term growth opportunities. Whether through improved education infrastructure, skill development programs, or essential resources like clean water, Octa’s efforts underline its commitment to bettering lives across the globe.
