
Good Sam employees donate $7,400 to nonprofits
You might call CHI Health Good Samaritan employees Santa’s special helpers.
On Thursday, the Good Samaritan staff gave more than $7,400 in products and monetary gifts to local nonprofits through Project Snowflake, their annual Christmas charity drive.

For more than 30 years, the staff has collected nonperishable food, personal care items, holiday gifts and monetary donations for those in need.
On Thursday, representatives of seven area agencies and two hospital-based charities visited the hospital to collect the donations gathered over the past month on their behalf.

Through Project Snowflake, hospital employees gave to the SAFE Center, Salvation Army, Jubilee Center, Crossroads Mission Avenue, Goodfellows, the Family Advocacy Network and the HelpCare Clinic.
Employees also donated clothing, personal items and transportation fees to patients in need, along with monetary donations for co-workers suffering a loss.

Last year, the staff at Good Samaritan gave more than $6,500 to local nonprofits through Project Snowflake.

Through Project Snowflake, Good Sam employees have donated generously to seven non-profits, including the Jubilee Center.

“As local agencies try to meet the rising needs of families and individuals during the holiday season, our donations make a real difference for people right here in our workplace and in our communities,” said Cindi Richter, director of the CHI Health Good Samaritan Foundation.
“Our employees are incredibly generous and look forward to supporting Project Snowflake each year. It’s an honor to give back to our community,” she added.
