
Food Bank of the Rockies raises over 1 million dollars during Colorado Gives Day
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – Colorado Gives Day was on Tuesday, and now nonprofits that participated are waiting in anticipation to see if they have raised the most money.
The top nonprofit in small, medium, and large categories that raised the most money on Colorado Gives Day will be given an extra $10,000 grand prize.
Food Bank of the Rockies is one of those winners, which raised over one million dollars during the event.
Sue Ellen Rodwick, the Western Slope Director for Food Bank of the Rockies, responded to the win saying, “We were very excited to hear about this honoring. It meant that Coloradans showed up as a community to support food, and even here on the western slope, we were excited about it as well.”
Other non-profits across Colorado won the grand prize including Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company which raised over $100,000 and Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Incorporated which raised over $64,000.
