December 2024 Cabinet meeting

The council’s Cabinet is meeting on Monday 2 December to discuss a range of reports and hear updates from officers.

The agenda will include the regular updates on finance and the land stability programme, and reports on extending the cleaning contract for the council’s toilets, an update on the work being done around the climate action plan, an application to extend Hastings Museum & Art Gallery’s Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) funding, and a new lease at the Bexhill Road retail park.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and are able to ask questions of Cabinet councillors at the start of the meeting – these questions don’t have to be pre-submitted. Any questions that cannot be answered at the meeting will be answered in writing.

Cllr Julia Hilton, leader of the council, said: “We welcome the public and their involvement in Cabinet meetings. If you have a question, we will do our best to answer on the evening and get written replies if we don’t have the information on the night. The reports cover important information about the council’s finances and the climate emergency which is also affecting the land stability programme of work.”

You can read the full agenda and reports online, and the meeting will be livestreamed on the council website, or you can attend in person from 5.45pm on Monday 2 December at Muriel Matters House.
