Wellspring Foundation of Southwest Virginia invites applications from local nonprofits | RFPs
A private foundation launched in July of 2022, the Wellspring Foundation of Southwest Virginia is a philanthropic organization dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being for the residents of Washington, Grayson, Russell, and Smyth counties in Virginia through purposeful partnerships.
The foundation invites applications for its HOPE (Helping Others Pursue Excellence) Grant program, which provides one-time funding of up to $25,000 for a project. Areas of interest include health, children and families, workforce development, education, and economic development.
In making grant decisions, the foundation will place the greatest priority on projects that provide a tangible benefit to the community, ensure measurable outcomes, and do not result in a duplication of services provided by another agency.
The foundation will only award grants to those agencies or organizations identified by the Internal Revenue Service as not-for-profit organizations or governmental entities. Each must serve to benefit the Virginia counties of Washington, Grayson, Russell, or Smyth.
The application cycle will open on December 2, 2024, and close on December 31, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. ET.
