Bismarck seeking input on survey for services that support low-to-moderate-income community members

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Bismarck is seeking community input regarding its 2025 through 2029 Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Plan.

The grant money, provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, will be spread among non-profits that support low-to-moderate-income individuals and families in areas of housing, transportation and more.

“So, there are questions in there that include affordable housing questions, household income questions, transportation. It kind of targets everything and where some of these funds need to go and how they can be prioritized to be improved,” said Bismarck City Planner and CDBG Program Administrator Hilary Balzum.

A link to the survey, which is open through October, can be found on the city’s Facebook, X, and Instagram pages or on the city’s website.
