GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) -The Grand Junction Kiwanis Club presented several non-profits with checks, totaling $53,000, on Thursday afternoon.
According to Stacy Mascarenas, Kiwanis Allocations Chair, the funds come from the club‘s Pancake Day Fundraiser. This year was Kiwanis’ 56th annual Pancake Day.
“For the last 15 years, we’ve been able to fund almost $800,000 just in the community and we all do it with flipping pancakes,” said Mascarenas.
This year’s recipients include CASA, Harmony Acres and SummitWest Care, among others.
