Minot Alliance of Nonprofits to recognize community organizations at annual luncheon
MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Last month the public was given a chance to nominate several business leaders in the Magic City for awards by the Minot Alliance of Nonprofits. The awards include titles such as Emerging Leader of the Year and Most Impactful Business of the Year, to name a few.
President of the group Ellen Fenner said a committee of community leaders narrowed the nominations down to three people per category. Members of the alliance then casted their votes. Wednesday, Oct. 23 will be the sixth year that organizations in the community will be recognized. Fenner said it is almost like a full-circle moment for her after being awarded as the Nonprofit Leader of the Year in 2023.
“The people that work in nonprofits, especially in the Minot area are so humble. So being able to be part of this organization has been incredible for me to continue to celebrate those who are working tirelessly in the nonprofit sector in our community,” said Fenner.
The awards luncheon will be held on Oct. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sleep Inn and Suites in Minot. Organizers said Rebecca Undem, an author and motivational speaker, will be providing a keynote speech.
