Brazos Valley businesses, nonprofits team up in donation drive for hurricane survivors

BRAZOS VALLEY, Texas (KBTX) – Four local businesses are teaming up to spread the word about a hurricane relief drive in the Brazos Valley.

The four local businesses include: Operation Safe Shield, Long Way Home Adoptables, Amanda Gray Counseling and Supervision, and JBG Plumbing. The drive is ongoing through October 26. In November, Bradley Gause, owner of JBG Plumbing, said he will be making a trip to deliver supplies to areas impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton.

JBG Project Manager Jordan Camerino said there are so many items those impacted need, JBG is happy to help.

“Having been on the receiving end of natural disasters, it’s nice to be able to help out other areas that have been affected. So yeah, we’ve seen it before and so knowing what is necessary and what we were lacking; it’s easy to put together a list,” Camerino offered.

Items the groups are in need of include toiletries, batteries, nonperishable foods, and more. So far, many donations have included items for pets and water.

Donations can be dropped off at 1401 Sandia Plaza in Bryan anytime between 9 am and 6 pm Monday through Saturday. JBG Plumbing has also received donations at its shop – located at 11400 SH 30 Suite 1803 in College Station.
