Local non-profit aims to help over 1,000 children this holiday season

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The Center for Children and Families is kicking off its 23rd annual Christmas Project and they’re asking the community for help.

The project aims to provide gifts and essential items to over 1,000 children from around the region. This year there are three different ways the community can help:

  1. Sponsor a Child’s Wish List: Spread Christmas cheer by sponsoring a specific child. Provide items such as clothes and a toy from the child’s wishlist. It typically costs between $100-$150 to sponsor one child.
  2. Donate Toys or Clothing: The Center accepts donations of new toys, clothing, and essential items.
  3. Make a Financial Contribution: Those unable to donate physical items can make a financial donation by texting “STANDFORHOPE” to 5355 or visiting Stand for Hope’s website.

The deadline to donate is Dec. 4.
